MORNING VISITOR.....LOOKING FOR BREAKFAST????

As Mike was leaving for work this morning, and I was grabbing the newspaper, I saw a shadow on the house next door......and look who was in the tree!! I'm sure he was looking for a quick snack or a yummy breakfast. Perhaps he had his eye on Precious the Cat who had accompanied us out the door!! He remained in the tree, proudly perched, awaiting my return with the camera. I was able to stand right there in the front yard looking up at him, and he never flew away!! In my amateur bird knowledge, I believe he is either a Merlin Falcon or a Prairie Falcon, both of which inhabit this area. Enjoy the pictures!!

Trudy thanks for stopping by my blog. So nice to meet you! I can't believe you were able to have a hawk just sit there and not fly away. Those are beautiful photos. Have a great day. ~Martha

Thank you for visiting, Martha!! Yes, this great feathered friend just sat there.....without a care in the world!! I watched him for a long time, and am not sure when he decided to leave...nor what he might have had in his beak as he left!! HA!! ~~ Trudy
